The Emotiva Stealth SP-1 Input Selector and Phono Preamp is a versatile component designed to increase the flexibility and input capabilities of our Stealth DC-1, or any preamp, DAC, or pre/pro with an available unbalanced analog line level input. The output of the Stealth SP-1 connects to an analog line level input on your preamp or DAC, and replaces that input with three new line level inputs and a very high quality precision phono preamp. The phono preamp supports both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges, and includes user-selectable load impedance on the moving coil input. When set for moving coil cartridges, the phono preamp follows the RIAA equalization curve within +/-0.25 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a S/N of 68 dB (A-weighted), and THD <0.08% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. When set for moving magnet cartridges, the phono preamp follows the RIAA equalization curve within +/-0.12 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a S/N of 88 dB (A-weighted), and THD <0.03% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Line level analog inputs are controlled by precision switching relays which add virtually no noise or distortion. When used with our Stealth DC-1, the DC-1 remote control operates both devices; a separate compact IR remote control is also provided for operating the SP-1 by itself. Note: The Stealth SP-1 doesn't include its own level control, and so should be used with a preamp or DAC which includes a volume control, or with the Emotiva Control Freak passive volume control Note: Since the Stealth SP-1 is an analog device, with an analog output, it can only be used with DACs or preamps that include at least one available line level unbalanced analog input – like the Emotiva Stealth DC-1.
